Making Changes

Firstly, I need to apologise for all of the auto-posting; my intention is to get back to making proper blog posts.
It's difficult to know how much to tell about the last year; to put it briefly, it turns out that making and selling the actual lights was biting off more than we could chew. Oh and I had some sort of depressive breakdown.
I'm not going to blog on about that, there are plenty of folks blogging succinctly on the subject already.
One thing I discovered is that it totally silenced me, in that I became so unsure of myself that I was afraid to express anything at all.
The main thing I've been concerning myself with is how to raise myself some sort of mini-Phoenix like business from the ashes of Names In Lights. (Annoyingly, I still get asked to make lights, but usually from people in places that we could never get insurance for anyway).
Having developed a technique for using the letters to make photo designs with real reflections, I've been pimping them on various sites - Zazzle, FAA, 500pix . In the first two cases, that means I'm  a salesperson for goods I've never actually seen and that makes me uneasy.
Not only that but I don't think they represent value for customers or me.
I've been racking my brains about the value question & I've come to the conclusion that I should concentrate on selling downloads. I'm starting off with a digital craft kit, which, along with the name, includes 20 greeting headlines and some attractive vector borders. There are also versions of the image "in borders" for folks who have no vector software.
It's going to take me a while to get them all uploaded but the first few are available here Names In Lights on Etsy
Here's the photoset from a pack

You get it all for just $3 usd - I've written my own licence agreement and made it liberal to say the very least.
Once the bulk of the uploading is done, my intention is to write some free tutorials showing customers how to get the best out of the pack.

Vintage Storm Petrel Bird Mini Speakers

A little something from the JustRightGraphics store. Click to customize and buy.

According to stories at Oglethorpe University,"James Oglethorpe was inspired by the courage of the small, gutsy bird as it dove in and out of the crashing ocean waves as he crossed the Atlantic Ocean in 1732." This vintage painting shows two gray storm petrels -- one sleepy, grayish brown bird and the other very perky with blue-gray feathers. Both birds have black bills and black webbed feet. They are seen poised at the water's edge of a sandy beach, ready to run in for a dip. Illustrated in the Victorian Era, 1862 by artist and American ornithologist John Cassin.
